Research

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is research active and conducts many small local research projects, as well as large-scale, national and international, commercial and non-commercial research.

The Trust’s Research Delivery Team is funded and supported by the NIHR Regional Research Delivery Network East Midlands (RRDN East Midlands) and is based at the Institute of Mental Health. There are research studies in many of the following areas that are looking for people to take part.

All research conducted by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has been reviewed by the research department and a research ethics committee. This ensures every research study is of the highest standard.

The Research Delivery team's role is to share research opportunities with patients and carers who receive services from Nottinghamshire Healthcare. The team will talk you through what is involved and explain any possible risks and benefits to you. It is your decision whether you wish to take part in the study and you can change your mind at any time – it will not affect your care. Sometimes it may not be possible for you to take part in a particular study, for example, you may need to be at a particular stage of your condition or treatment, or be a certain age. Or there may already be enough people already signed up.
