Dr Michelle Funk is the Unit Head of the WHO Policy, Law and Human Rights team.

Professor Martin Orrell is a leading figure in old age psychiatry and dementia research, with an international reputation for advancing evidence-based mental health care for older people. He is Director of the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), a partnership between the University of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. He also serves as Honorary Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist with the Rapid Response Liaison Team at Queen’s Medical Centre.

Dr Laura Asher is a Clinical Associate Professor of public health in the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham and Honorary Consultant in public health medicine at the UK Department of Health and Social Care.

Mike is Professor of Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion at University of Nottingham.

Dr Yasuhiro Kotera (Yasu) is Associate Professor of Cross-cultural Mental Health at the University of Nottingham, and Collaborative Researcher at the University of Osaka, Japan.

Briony is a PhD candidate at the University of Nottingham, exploring human rights in international dementia care. She is currently working with the WHO to develop good practice guidance for community dementia services that will illustrate services that provide good recovery-oriented, person-centred, and rights-based care.

Natalie Drew Bold is the Technical Officer for the Policy, Law and Human Rights team of WHO’s Department of Mental Health and Substance Use.

Dr Ahmed Hankir MBChB MRCPsych is Public Engagement and Education Lead at the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Mental Health, Disabilities and Human Rights, Institute of Mental Health in Nottingham.

Parthena has a BSc (Hons) in Psycholog, with MSc in Mental Health at the University of Nottingham.

Blanka is a postgraduate student from Budapest, Hungary.

Marcia is pursuing a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York, with an expected graduation date of May 2022.

Filippo is a Roy McMurtry Fellow in Legal History and a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto.

Morgan is a Research Coordinator with the University of Washington Department of Global Health, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Seattle, Washington, USA.
