Meet the team

We are made up of a diverse group of experts across child mental health, research trial design, serious games, computer science and statistics!

Professor Chris Hollis is a Professor of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Institute of Mental Health, University of Nottingham and is Principal Investigator on the SPARX trial.

Professor Paul Stallard is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who works with children and adolescents with mental health problems and is Principal Investigator on the SPARX trial. 

Dr Charlotte Hall is a Principal Research Fellow who has expertise in running trials with young people in digital mental health and will provide oversight to the trial team.

Dr Mathijs Lucassen is a Senior Lecturer who carried out doctoral studies of SPARX and will provide support to the trial team.

Dr Kareem Khan is a Research Fellow and will be the trial manager for the SPARX trial.

Dr Camilla Babbage is a Research Fellow who led the pre-engagement work with SPARX and will be leading the public and patient involvement in the trial.

Professor Chris Greenhalgh is a Professor of Computer Science and will be responsible for adapting SPARX from New Zealand to a system compatible in the UK.

Kirsty Sprange is an Assistant Professor who is experienced in running trials and will be providing advice on all matters to do with the design and running of the SPARX trial.

Dr Chris Tench is a Senior Statistician and will be providing statistical support for the SPARX trial.

Professor Sally Merry is an experienced child and adolescent psychiatrist who led the development and testing of SPARX in New Zealand and will be involved in this trial in an advisory role.

Dr Karolina Stasiak is a Senior Lecturer who helped coordinate the study of SPARX in New Zealand and will be involved in this trial in an advisory role.
