Dr Holan Liang was lead psychiatrist at the National Specialist Tic Service at Great Ormond Street Hospital 2018-2024.

She has been involved in tic research including Tic Genetics and the Functional Tic Like Behaviours international consortium, and has lectured on tics and Tourette syndrome for The Association of Child & Adolescent Mental Health and The Royal College of Psychiatrists. In 2024, she moved to Cambridge University to pursue research interests in neurodevelopmental conditions (autism, ADHD, tics, intellectual disability). She remains involved in tic research and is a co-principal investigator in the NIHR funded clinical trial The Saturn Study.
