Dr Sudheer Lankappa FRCPsych is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor, University of Nottingham, School of Medicine.

As research active clinician his work relates to the application of neuromodulation techniques in research and clinical setting, and investigating the pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric disorders using multimodal neuroimaging techniques.

He is lead for the Nottingham Centre for Neuromodulation and Specialty Lead for Mental Health East Midlands CRN. Sudheer represents LCRN at NIHR National Specialty Group and is a member of the East Midlands Clinical Senate. He's a member of the Royal College ECT and Related Treatments Committee and takes part in national consultation for issues relating to Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and ECT. 

Dr Lankappa has been PI for various studies, including BrightMind, and at present in collaboration with the academic radiology department he is involved in: Feasibility Trial of Neuromodulation with Connectivity-Guided Intermittent Theta Burst Stimulation for Cognitive Impairment in Multiple sclerosis, Accelerated TMS for Pain Inhibition (BoostCPM), and Beyond drugs: Non-invasive focused ultrasound brain stimulation as a novel intervention for mental health.
