Most of my current research is being conducted as part of the NEON programme, which is building a large and diverse on-line collection of mental health recovery stories, and exploring their integration into recovery-oriented mental health interventions.

I have a specific interest in understanding how collections of mental health recovery narratives are curated, particularly given the sensitive nature of what might be discussed in these narratives.

I'm also working on general guidelines to support the design of effective healthcare technologies, drawing on my previous research around the use of technology to support rehabilitation and recovery from brain injury and mood disorders.

I'm currently supervising PhD students Sarah Brydges (School of Pharmacy), Joy Beardsley (School of Health Sciences) and Zenah al-Kubaisy (School of Computer Science).
