Shireen Patel is a Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham with a particular interest in digital health technologies for the treatment of mental health. 

Shireen is currently the Operational Lead Researcher on a NIHR Applied Research Collaboration - East Midlands (ARC EM) funded trial. The Alpha-Stim-D trial is looking at the effectiveness of the Alpha-Stim AID device in treatment seeking patients with depressive symptoms in Primary Care.

Prior to working on this trial Shireen has worked on several NIHR funded research projects in mental health since 2011. She is a strong advocate for involving and collaborating with Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPI/E) representatives in research.
