Cath Sackley is Professor of Physiotherapy Research.  

She is an Emeritus NIHR Senior Investigator and trialist who specialises in the evaluation of rehabilitation interventions for people with stroke, hip fracture and neurological disease living in the community. Her team works closely in partnership with people in the UK and in Africa. Her work has informed clinical practice, particularly for the residents of care homes. She has focused on research capacity development  and Cath has supervised over thirty training awards for Allied Health Professionals.
