Dr Michael Craven

Michael Craven, PhD, is Principal Research Fellow and Technology Theme lead at the NIHR MindTech MedTech Co-operative which is co-located with the Centre for Dementia in the Institute of Mental Health.

He has contributed over 30 years to research and teaching in the area of healthcare technology assessment of medical devices & digital health and, previously, in electronic engineering and computer science. Additionally he is a member of the University of Nottingham Faculty of Engineering’s Bioengineering research group.

In the dementia field he is currently co-investigator in AD-Detect-Prevent (cognitive training) and was involved in the MinD programme on design, and is supporting students in DISTINCT. He co-authored the INTERDEM position paper on Assistive Technologies.
