Dr Akram Hosseini is Consultant Neurologist at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, and holds the MRC/NIHR Clinical Academic Research Partnership award with the Nottingham Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre.

Her academic and subspeciality interests include neurocognitive studies using Ultrahigh Field MRI at 7T, Working Age Dementia, and autoimmune-mediated cognitive impairment/encephalopathy at the University of Nottingham. She has research interest in post-stroke cognitive impairment in collaboration with the University of Birmingham, and the Stroke Association. She is currently the clinical lead for neurodegenerative disorders of the NIHR East Midlands Clinical Research Network.

• Biobanking for neurodegenerative disorders
• Hippocampal Pathology in Post- Stroke Cognitive Impairment, HiPPSCI (Stroke Association, Midland Neurosciences Research Fund), recently completed.
