Brief biography

Dr Indu Dubey is an Assistant Professor at the School of Medicine, University of Nottingham, and she is also a Clinical Psychologist at the Neurodevelopmental Specialist Service, Notts Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Her research focuses on different aspects of autism such as social differences, identification gaps, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Indu’s recent work includes the development of computer-based tools to evaluate social differences in autism; early screening of autism using technology in low-resource settings; and neuronal understanding of reward mechanisms in autism. Her latest projects focus on exploring the mechanism underlying co-occurring anxiety in autism. Through her research, she aims to develop measures that are suitable for quantifying co-occurring mental health conditions in autistic people irrespective of their verbal abilities, cultural background, or differences in expressions.
